Vibe first, appearance later.
Photos stay hidden until a mutual match, and the first date happens at a partner venue with a booking code.
About the project
Bloom is a dating and meetup app built on "vibe before appearance". Instead of photos, users see a card with a person's quote, interests and mood. Photos unlock only after mutual interest.
Popular apps like Tinder, Bumble, Badoo and Hinge show photos immediately, and decisions are made in a fraction of a second on looks. The second problem is that a match has nowhere to go: the app isn't connected to places to meet.
Bloom connects two audiences. People look for real connections, while local cafes, restaurants and venues pay for placement, offer deals to users and become the place for a first date.
The user's path
- 1Vibe cardThe user creates a card with a quote and interests.
- 2Choosing without photosLike or pass on personality alone, with nearby people ranked higher.
- 3It's a connectionA mutual like unlocks photos and chat.
- 4InvitationRight from the chat, pick a venue, date and time and send an invite.
- 5The dateOnce the invite is accepted, both get a booking code for the venue.
What's inside the app
Two sides of revenue
Venues pay a subscription for placement: Standard at $150 a month with one deal and basic analytics, Featured at $300 with priority and a banner, Premium at $500 with top placement, feed features and push campaigns.
Users buy profile boosts: $2.99 for a day at the top, $7.99 for a week, $19.99 for an unlimited month.

Revenue model
Go-to-market plan
Stage one is Baku: ambassadors at BSU, ADA, Khazar and UNEC universities, local lifestyle creators in a "show your vibe" format, direct sales to the city's top 100 venues with three free months, and targeted ads for ages 18-32.
Next is Dubai, focused on expats, the Russian-speaking and Azerbaijani diaspora, coworking spaces and business clubs. Then the CIS city by city: Almaty, Tbilisi, Tashkent. Growth is supported by viral mechanics: invite three friends for a week of premium, a discount for showing Bloom at a partner venue, sharing the vibe card to stories.
