The auction bid is not the price yet. Two numbers decide: what the lot will sell for and how high it's worth bidding.
Both numbers and the verdict show right in Copart search results, without opening the lot page.
About the project
LOTradar is a Chrome extension and server for analyzing lots from the Copart and IAAI car auctions. Under every lot in the results a strip appears with the full picture for each chosen resale destination: lot price, auction fees, logistics, customs, repair, total and market price.
Color reads before text: a green strip means buy, yellow borderline, red skip. Browsing results means sliding an eye across sixty rows, and the decision there is binary: look closer or scroll on. A verdict counter sits at the bottom of the page, and one tap leaves only the lots worth a look.
The bid ceiling is computed as the final lot price at which the deal still makes sense, by binary search over the same engine. Cost is nonlinear: auction fees are tiered and transit insurance depends on value, so simple subtraction would be wrong right at a tier boundary.
How it works
- 1Open search resultsCopart or IAAI as usual, no auction account login needed.
- 2Choose destinationsUp to four at once: for example, resale in the US and in Georgia.
- 3See the verdictExpected sale price, bid ceiling and total per destination, with and without repair.
- 4FilterKeep only "buy" lots on the page or get saved-filter matches in Telegram.
What it does
Your rates, not someone else's
Auction fees depend on the buyer's access type, the forwarder's rate on their contract, the labor rate on your shop. Rates are entered in the extension panel, and each one refines the calculation instantly. Exact figures appear without "≈", estimates come with a range and a note on the source.
Rates verified against primary sources are locked, so the calculation can't be silently broken from inside.

Resale destinations
Georgia and US resale are fully computed. Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Ukraine are built structurally: logistics, repair and resale factors are in place, and customs need two figures per country, the customs share and fixed fees, which a broker knows or gets with one call.
An unverified destination and a restricted one are different. CIS countries are marked legally unverified and can't become recommended. Russia and Belarus are marked export-restricted, and no calculation is shown for them.
Buyer questions
What's ready?▾
The foundation with data isolation, roles and an audit log, Copart lot extraction verified on live results, the scenario engine, Georgian customs, badges and results filtering, saved filters with Telegram delivery, photo damage assessment, teams and pricing plans.
What isn't ready?▾
The payment provider, the IAAI profile is still being tuned, and the in-house pricing model awaits accumulated history. Server-side collection from Copart isn't possible because of the site's protection, so data accumulates through users' browsing.
What documentation exists?▾
Architecture, data model, a phased roadmap and a risk register.
